21 July: How to Go Solar – the practicalities

Thinking about solar PV and/ or batteries?

Join us for a practical, friendly evening with home owners who have installed solar PV and batteries, hear from installers, and find out how to tackle some of the practical issues – including how to manage the process, and how to navigate planning and conservation issues.

  • ⏰ 21 July | 7pm (doors open 6.30pm)
  • 📍Woodstock Road Baptist Church | Oxford OX2 7NQ

The evening will cover:

  • Case studies: LCON trustees Brenda and Guy will talk about the process and benefits of installing solar PV (and batteries) in their homes.
  • Installers will talk about what they offer and what they look for. Octopus will be represented and will also talk about tariffs.
  • Do you live in a conservation area? We will give an update on a ‘People Owned Power’ project to install solar panels in several streets in Walton Manor and progress so far towards ‘Permitted Development’ for solar PV in conservation areas.
  • Warm Homes Grant – find out what it is and who can apply.

There will be time for questions and discussion. Free and open to all — everyone welcome.
