Seven years after LCON teamed up with E-Car to launch an electric car club in Summertown, E-Car sadly announced their withdrawal from the Oxford car clubs market in early 2020.

We’re keen to promote car-sharing services across Oxford and, if possible, find opportunities to replace the E-Car car club. Please get in touch with Rebecca (treasurer@lcon.org.uk) with any suggestions or contacts.

Meanwhile, other car clubs in Oxford include:

• Zipcar (which has cars in North Oxford on William Lucy Way and at St Antony’s College) and
• the Co-wheels Car Club which has cars on Juxon Street and Leckford Road in North Oxford.
• hiyacar, with cars across north Oxford – “Rent affordable cars from trusted local owners in your community by the hour or the day”.
