Energy Saving Homes return 13-14 September

Energy Saving Homes return for the much-loved annual Oxford Open Doors on 13 and 14 September 2025.

This is your chance to visit brilliant examples of homes that have installed a range of energy saving measures – from high levels of insulation, double and triple glazing, air source heat pumps, solar PV and batteries, to water efficiency, ventilation, and a variety of other energy saving and future proofing strategies.

More than 30 Energy Saving Homes will be welcoming visitors, with 9 in north Oxford including, for example:

  • an air source heat pump and insulation in an 1870s Victorian terrace;
  • a gas free 1880s semi-detached house with comprehensive insulation and heat pump;
  • comprehensive insulation, ventilation, triple glazing and solar PV on Victoria Road.

Details are on the Energy Saving Homes website and the Oxford Open Doors website.

Energy Saving Homes is run by Low Carbon Oxford North, in partnership with Communities for Zero Carbon Oxford and Oxford Preservation Trust and with support from Low Carbon Hub.
