Oxford Travel Options website launches

We’re excited to launch the new Oxford Travel Options website, in partnership with the Zero Carbon Oxfordshire Partnership (ZCOP) and with support from the Low Carbon Huboffering travel information, advice and inspiration for anyone who lives in, works in or visits Oxford – all in one place.

The site makes it easier to access the huge variety of resources and services Oxford offers in support of sustainable travel, bringing together info about buses, bikes, walking, Park and Rides, lift sharing and scooting. It has lots of clear information covering everything from different bus tickets to the best bike routes, from wheelchair bus access to cargo bike hire, and from lift share apps to online journey planners, as well as advice for employers on supporting staff travel.

It also has a host of real stories from local people to show how switching from the car to other forms of travel can transform people’s lives – from parents who report happier children to NHS workers who talk about the friendships they have formed on their daily bus journeys.

We know people rely on cars for lots of reasons – we also know that small changes to our travel habits can save money, reduce stress and improve happiness, as well as improving air quality and reducing carbon emissions. We hope that by providing lots of useful information, the website will encourage people to have a go!

Thank you to funders Zero Carbon Oxfordshire Partnership and Low Carbon Hub, and to the Foundation for Integrated Transport, which is providing ongoing support for the management of the website.
