Green switching

One way to lower the impact of your domestic energy consumption is green switching. So you may want to switch your electricity provider to a supplier that supports renewable energy, preferably 100% sourced. Not only does this promote the promise of wind, wave and solar power. But it helps to grow the clean energy marketplace and reduce our dependence on fossil fuels.

Green switching isn’t complicated and doesn’t entail physical changes in your home. The difference with a clean supplier is that for every unit of electricity you use, an equivalent unit of clean power enters the National Grid.

LCON helped set up the Big Clean Switch Oxford in 2018. This scheme helps you to compare the prices of different clean energy tariffs (8 companies) with your current supplier, and to make a switch in minutes.
